Supply and procurement

Integrate sustainability into the management of our supply chain.

MSF’s supply chain is a cornerstone of MSF’s medical humanitarian work.

Supply chain management can seem complex as it involves multiple stakeholders, processes and tools to align along the chain. Every element of the chain is crucial for the system to work effectively and efficiently.

Striving for a sustainable MSF supply chain requires work on internal processes and supply network as well as engaging with suppliers to ensure the products and services MSF buys have the least environmental impact possible. MSF has started to estimate the emissions generated by its supply chain and developed tools such as the Supply Code of Conduct, Supplier Sustainability Assessment, Sustainable Procurement Guidelines, etc.
