MSF’s advocacy efforts aim to raise awareness on the health and humanitarian consequences of climate change and to liaise with policy makers for adequate financial support, while partnering with academic institutions and civil groups. A more tangible objective of these efforts is to safeguard our medical work and explore varied methods (political, technical or financial) to cater to the distinct needs of our patients, which will be exacerbated by the climate emergency.
In relevant political discussions, we champion the interconnectedness of climate and health, emphasizing the frequently neglected needs of people and communities in the world who are most vulnerable to the effects of the climate crisis.
